Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge & Spa proudly sits on the Helshoogte Pass near Stellenbosch, the wine capital of South Africa. Acquired by entrepreneur Mac van der Merwe at a public auction on 13 March 2002, the lodge is part of the Zorgvliet Portfolio. Under this luxury experience brand, Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge & Spa has grown into a formidable business offering 5 star services to wine lovers, leisure as well as business travellers. The surrounding beauty exceeds expectations with rolling vineyards and greenery displayed against a backdrop of stretching views.
Zorgvliet was previously owned by Peter Rhymer who had built up the business when he changed from fruit farming and who left considerable capacity and infrastructure. It is an historic farm which dates back to the 17th century, 1692, when it was owned by Casper Wilders who owned several large farms in the area at different times among them Stellengift and the lovely Zorgvliet.
Presently the wine estate offers guests luxurious accommodation, a selection of wine-related entertainment, a tranquil Zorgvliet Spa and the famous winelands views unique to the area. Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge and Zorgvliet Spa Suites accommodate guests in their respective luxury rooms and suites, each offering a distinctly enriching experience. The Zorgvliet Vineyard Lodge boasts six lodge rooms equipped with modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible.
